What will the course involve? The qualification follows the Cambridge Nationals Certificate for Creative iMedia. It consists of 4 units: one is assessed externally through a written examination taken in January Y11 (worth 25% of the overall qualification) this examination is based upon the pre-production skills of digital media and 3 units are internally assessed (totalling 75% of the overall qualification). Here, you will apply technical knowledge and demonstrate mastery of practical and technical skills through realistic tasks and activities.

Where does the course lead? This qualification is for you if you want to start a career in digital media. Achieving this qualification will give you an advantage when applying for a job in the creative industries. The types of jobs include: • Junior content producer/creative content assistant • Web Developer • Graphic Designer This qualification also gives you a sound basis to progress further within the creative industries to a level 2 apprenticeship, for example in content production or creative digital media, or to a level 3 qualifications. |
