More donations to our fantastic NHS

Thank you yet again to some of our fantastic staff who have come together to make NHS frontline staff a bit more comfortable in what is a very challenging time for them.

This time Fulwood Academy Staff have donated pamper products to help the NHS staff relax and unwind a little bit when they return home after a busy shift. Donations included facemasks and indulgent bath products.

Thanks again to all who have donated and to Mrs Ellis for arranging.

Here's a look back at what our Academy Staff have done to support our incredible NHS staff since the coronavirus lockdown:

We invited NHS staff to use our car park for free.

The students who remained in school made rainbows to be displayed in the school windows for the NHS staff to see.

'Thank You Key Workers'

With PPE shortages in hospitals, the Academy donated all of our goggles, aprons and gloves from our science department to the hospital.

Staff made and bought cakes and other goodies for the NHS staff to enjoy

Easter eggs were donated to NHS staff to spread a bit of Easter joy

Toiletries were kindly donated to the NHS.                                                                   Hand creams were given to our frontline NHS staff who were suffering from painfully dry hands from wearing gloves hours on end.                                      Other toiletries were given to patients suffering from COVID-19 who were unable to have visitors and therefor were lacking the basic toiletries.

Our 3D printers were busy producing PPE visors for NHS staff. A huge thank you to our former colleague Bob Bridges for making over 450 of these for NHS staff and key workers.

Academy staff donated small water bottles and hot drink sachets after hearing the difficulty hospital staff have at staying hydrated whilst in full PPE. Its was advised these would be useful for NHS staff to use on their short breaks.
