The Brilliant Club is a project to encourage the most able pupils to apply for one of the top 30 universities in the country. The pupils work with a PhD tutor in university style tutorials and complete a 2000 word assessments. They study a topic they will not learn about in their normal school curriculum, develop their study skills and a belief in their own ability and potential. The pupils visit two different universities and find out about life at university. Our pupils have completed assignments on the techniques used in Hollywood blockbuster movies, Who owns the city?, Is seeing believing? Dancing hands: sign language around the world. So far 48 pupils have graduated from the Brilliant Club and 12 are currently taking part.
