Academy Plus

Academy Plus is an area of the academy which is ‘home’ to our Learning Mentors and Counsellor. In Academy Plus students are able to access a wide range of activities which are designed to enable then to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

The Lead Learning Mentor, Mentors, Health workers and an Academy Counsellor are among the many staff that provide:

Circle Groups, a Summer School, Vocational Placements, Reading, Breakfast and Lunch clubs all have a significant impact on the well-being and achievement of our students.

Leadership is a quality which is encouraged and developed at Fulwood Academy and student Peer Mentors, Peer Mediators and Reading Partners are all trained to work with, and support, other students.
